Holistic Roots hosts Proctor Academy Students for look into local farms and foods. High School students will have a first hand experience learning and exploring the life on a bison and beef farm. We will engage in critical conversations regarding regenerative farming practices, conservation, ecology, natural resources and how each can live in harmony. We will dive into the importance of creating healthy and sustainable foods sytems and its effect on animal health, soil and plant health, environmental health and human health and the interconnectedness of all of these things. Located in the heart of Andorra Forest, it offers an 11,500 acre playground to explore!
Students will then have a chance to try their skills as a farmer for a day doing daily chores. The day will finish with a lunch of farm raised products and a short hike to one of the best views in the State!
